Listen to Episode 2: Learn to Discern | Is Prophecy a Real Thing Today?
Jesus warned His disciples that false prophets would rise and deceive many people in the last days (Matt. 24). The Savior also said we can discern wolves by their fruit (Matt. 7). Most self-proclaimed prophets are not speaking by the Holy Spirit today. We should be skeptical of prophets with large social media followings and captivating stage presence—God’s prophetic servants in the Old Testament and the Early Church weren’t popular or rich.
Guarding our faith against false prophets/prophecies requires us to do one thing faithfully: READ YOUR BIBLE.
